RSM NJB Commuity Outreach Program

In an effort to give our youth a chance to learn more about what it means to be a part of something bigger than just recreational basketball, we have started the RSM NJB Community Outreach Program. The program is designed to provide our young athletes with the opportunity to give back to their local community.

There is no more valuable commodity than time. We are asking our teams to donate at least one practice during the season to make a positive impact on their local community while wearing their uniforms to represent their team. Some ideas we have are as follows:

  • Beautifying a local school or park - picking up trach at and around a school or park you practice at is an easy way to make your community a better place. This could also include sweeping courts, replacing missing or torn nets on hoops, etc.
  • Spending time with our community's greatest generation - passing out flowers and/or sharing a hug and a smile to the elderly at a retirement community's cafeteria during breakfast lunch or dinner.
  • Assisting an animal shelter - delivering old blankets, towels, dog/cat beds or food. Shelters also may need help with walking or just spending time with lonely animals who are waiting for adoption.

We'd love for your team to wear their RSM NJB uniforms while volunteering. Please take a picture of your team and e-mail to us at so we can add it to our homepage. Be creative! To receive a contact list for volunteer opportunities or come up with your own click the link below:
